We are pleased to announce that Ashley Alber has been named as Principal.

In her role as Principal, Ms. Alber is primarily responsible for the operations of ScaleCo portfolio companies, overseeing developments in accounting and finance, team alignment, organic revenue growth, technology enablement and implementation, and corporate development.  

After graduating from New York University, Ashley began her career as an Associate at UBS Investment Bank. She then took a role focused on equity analysis and sell-side relationship management at Gilder Gagnon Howe, an investment manager in New York. After moving to Cleveland in 2014, Ms. Alber joined Northcoast Research as a Senior Research Associate focused on analysis of Consumer and Retail equities, and then transitioned to a role as Associate Vice President of Investment Strategy at PNC Bank. Most recently, Ms. Alber served as a Principal at JumpStart Inc., a venture capital firm focused on investing in technology startups in Ohio.

Ms. Alber currently serves as an Executive Co-Chair for VentureNext, a professional peer group of rising venture capital investors who work with, manage, and run venture capital investment funds. Members are based across the country and united by an interest in investing in Midwestern companies. VentureNext members get access to monthly deal-flow calls, exclusive networking events, educational resources, and mentorship.
