Chris Hagood Named Senior Vice President of PSP Metrics

We are pleased to announce that Chris Hagood has been named Senior Vice President, Operations and Customer Success, and EOS Integrator at PSP Metrics (“PSP”), a ScaleCo Portfolio Company (acquired in 2021). PSP was founded in 1946 amongst the pioneers in the research-based employee testing industry. For over 75 years, PSP Metrics has produced adaptable, science-backed measurement systems for objective decision-making. Based in Pittsburgh, PA, the company efficiently delivers custom solutions across four segments: employee testing, talent development, succession planning, and organizational development. PSP Metrics provides these assessments to a wide range of blue-chip companies in the utility, business services, homebuilding, and manufacturing industries to a global network of more than 23 countries.

Chris Hagood has consistently delivered impactful, transformational strategies that identify diverse human capital needs while strategically matching those needs with proven solutions. Prior to joining PSP, Mr. Hagood spent time as a member and leader of high performing teams at Dell, Gallup, Press Ganey, Prime Chief of Staff, and Kudos Strategies: “PSP Metrics has a rich history of serving an array of clients and industries during their near 80-year tenure. As the opportunity to help lead a highly regarded, researched-backed, and scientifically validated organization into its next phase became available, it was one I felt very passionate about”. Mr. Hagood has always been passionate about delivering workable solutions that generate results and ensure that the right people are fit for the right work. He holds a B.S. in Business Management, an MBA, and has been a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach since 2015.

Donnie Bedney, ScaleCo’s Operating Partner, joined PSP as President and EOS Visionary with more than 15 years’ experience in the human capital management industry. Donnie Bedney has spent his career at prestigious consulting and healthcare organizations, including Gallup and Press Ganey, as a workforce, human capital, and sales executive. Mr. Bedney has been successful leading project teams, increasing customer service efficacy, and streamlining organizational processes. Mr. Bedney knew Mr. Hagood through working together at Gallup and shared a passion for helping employers and employees alike have meaningful experiences in the workplace. After reconnecting in 2022, they decided to partner together and lead PSP as Visionary and Integrator: “Chris’s varied experience in the human capital industry and excellent leadership ability will drive PSP Metrics continued excellence in providing custom solutions to our clients. We are thrilled to have him join our team”. Mr. Bedney received a B.S. in Business Administration and Management and an MBA in Finance and Sports Management.

PSP Metrics aligns well with ScaleCo’s strategy of investing in profitable, scalable business services companies. ScaleCo and PSP have continued to work together over the past few years to transform the organization into a technology-enabled leader in the pre-employment testing industry. “Chris Hagood has created an immediate impact on PSP Metrics upon joining the organization. His leadership and experience add tremendous value to the team, and we are excited to support him in his role as Senior Vice President and EOS Integrator” says Ashley Alber, Partner at ScaleCo. ScaleCo’s investment strategy focuses on transforming small, plateaued, profitable businesses into sustainable growth companies by engaging ambitious — and often, first-time — entrepreneurs who have been trained to run companies with an outward, growth mindset.
