ScaleCo Capital’s Innoplast Holdings Acquires Impact Recovery Systems
ScaleCo Capital (“ScaleCo”), a Cleveland-based private equity firm, is excited to announce that its portfolio company, Innoplast Holdings (“Innoplast”), has acquired Impact Recovery Systems (“Impact Recovery”), a San Antonio-based manufacturer of innovative, impact-resistant safety products serving transportation, industrial, commercial, and transit markets.
Founded in 1991, Impact Recovery has grown from a company focused primarily on traffic safety into a global provider of safety solutions designed to protect people, property, and infrastructure. Today, the company operates across three primary product divisions: Traffic Safety, SlowStop® Protective Guarding, and Sentinel Transit Barriers.
The acquisition expands Innoplast’s portfolio of pedestrian, traffic, and protective safety products while adding complementary manufacturing capabilities and market expertise. Together, Innoplast and Impact Recovery will serve customers across a broad range of end markets, including government and highway infrastructure, manufacturing, warehousing and storage, retail and fuel, airports, work zones, and transit systems.
“We are excited to welcome Impact Recovery to the Innoplast family,” said Gary Bowling, CEO of Innoplast. “Impact Recovery has built a strong reputation for innovative products, quality, and customer service. Bringing our organizations together allows us to expand the solutions available to our customers while building on the strengths and expertise of both companies.”
“Joining Innoplast represents an exciting next chapter for Impact Recovery,” said Greg Hannah, President of Impact Recovery. “For more than 30 years, our focus has been on developing innovative safety solutions and providing our customers with products they can depend on. This partnership gives us the opportunity to build on that foundation, broaden the solutions we can offer, and continue delivering the service and expertise our customers have come to expect.”
The acquisition is another step in Innoplast’s continued growth and reflects ScaleCo’s strategy of partnering with strong management teams to create long-term value through organic growth, strategic acquisitions, and continued investment in people and operations.
“Impact Recovery is a strong strategic fit for Innoplast and represents another important step in building a broader safety products platform,” said Brendan Anderson, Managing Partner at ScaleCo. “Impact Recovery brings a strong product portfolio and long-standing customer relationships that complement Innoplast’s existing business and create new opportunities for growth.”
Impact Recovery will continue to operate under the Impact Recovery name, with its existing products, customer relationships, and service remaining in place. Innoplast and Impact Recovery will work closely to ensure a smooth transition for employees, customers, distributors, suppliers, and other business partners. ScaleCo is excited to welcome the Impact Recovery team and looks forward to supporting the combined organization as it continues to expand its reach.
The team working on this investment with Anderson and Innoplast included Managing Partner, Dave Jacob; Vice President, Matt Sweet; Director of Finance, Dan Pioch; and Director of Scale Creation, Holli Adkins.
In this transaction, ScaleCo was advised by Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP, while financing was provided by funds managed by Principal Alternative Credit.
