ScaleCo Names Matt Diamond as Michigan Market Lead and General Counsel

We are pleased to announce that Matt Diamond has joined ScaleCo as a Michigan Market Lead and General Counsel.
Matt has an extensive background in advising, operating, and investing in small businesses. He began his career as an attorney with a Chicago-based law firm advising entrepreneurs on entity formation, investment structuring, capital raising, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Diamond then served as CEO of Del Palma Orthopedics, a medical device developer. While at Del Palma, he founded Apollo Medical Solutions, a value-based program implementer for healthcare facilities, and Redbrick Capital, an investment firm. Diamond received a BS in Finance from Miami University (OH) and his JD from the University of Illinois College of Law. In his role as Michigan Market Lead and General Counsel, Diamond will be responsible for deal-sourcing, fundraising, operations, and network building in Michigan, as well as ScaleCo’s diligence and legal processes.

Matt and his father Jack Diamond, CEO of Brennan, Manna, Diamond (BMD), met Brendan while searching for investment opportunities. Their outlooks aligned with Brendan’s so well that they were determined to find a way to work together in a broader sense. Matt Diamond will further ScaleCo’s investment strategy in a new market that focuses on transforming small, plateaued, profitable businesses into sustainable growth companies by engaging ambitions – and often, first-time – entrepreneurs who have been trained to run companies with an outward mindset.
